If you're using Snapchat and need more leads, you'll want to read this post on how to generate leads from Snapchat.
Snapchat is already such an engaging app, so why not use it to grow your business?
We'll be sharing five unique ways to generate more leads to your business using this fun app.
#1 Prompt your followers to join your email list.
Snapchat is a great addition to your marketing strategy.
Use it to promote your latest blog post, ebook, webinar, etc., and optimize your content to collect email addresses of potential leads.
Unfortunately, with Snapchat you can't have clickable links on your snaps, but don't let that discourage you.
You can always create a Bitly link to shorten your long link into something easy for your followers to remember.
Type that non-clickable link on your snap and encourage people to take a screenshot of the snap so they can look at the content.
You could also ask your followers to snap you back if they want the link. You can then send the link using Snapchat's direct message function.
Links sent via direct message are clickable and can open up within the Snapchat app.
The goal is to move your followers to your email list, which is a more effective place to sell.
#2 Extend the relationship beyond Snapchat.
Snapchat isn't the best place to sell products because people aren't on Snapchat to buy.
You'll have to follow the basic rule of traditional networking on Snapchat – get to know people first and build rapport with them.
In addition, rather than trying to land a sale on Snapchat, move people to the next step off the Snapchat platform.
It's important you use a low-risk, easy first step in your sales process on Snapchat, which will be easier to secure than a sale.
#3 Show your product or service in action.
Showing your product or service in action is an effective, non-salesy way to show people what you do and how you can help them.
What's great about this method is that it works for product-based businesses and service-based businesses.
If you have a product-based business, show your product(s) being used, how it's made, and various uses for your product(s).
For a service-based business, you can talk about what you're up to each day, what you're working on, and you can even have your clients talk to your followers.
The key to succeeding in Snapchat is to let your followers know how to take the first step in buying your product or service, and make it easy for them to do so.
You can also ask your followers to swipe up and have them ask for a link if they're interested.
#4 Promote gamified discount offers.
A great way to show appreciation for your followers (and hopefully generate more leads) is to offer discount vouchers in your snaps.
All you need to do is include a discount voucher code in your snap and tell people if they want it, they need to screenshot it.
Don't limit yourself to that, though.
Make it fun for your followers to earn a voucher.
You can do this by gamifying your snaps.
An example we recently heard of was doing a “Where's Waldo” game using bitmoji.
Bitmoji is an app that allows you to create an emoji character that looks like you. You can integrate that app with your Snapchat account, and it makes your bitmoji available as a sticker you can use on your snaps.
Next, just find a busy area, take a photo of it, and insert (hide) your bitmoji in the scene.
Tell your followers to take a screenshot of the scene, circle your character, and send it back to win whatever you're offering.
In my example above, I just took a picture of a page in a book. And obviously, you'll want to make finding you a little more difficult than what I've shown. This literally took me less than two minutes to do, so it goes to show you how easy it is to make your snaps more fun for your followers.
#5 Qualify warm prospects with a giveaway.
In general, giveaways are a great way to build your email list and get more leads.
Make sure you're offering giveaways that relate to your business niche.
Decide what you can give away that will generate qualified leads to your business.
If you collect details and ask to keep in touch in some way during the giveaway, you can consider those entrants as potential leads whom you can now contact.
Once you decide what kind of a giveaway you're going to do, you can announce it to your Snapchat followers via your story.
Snapchat stories are only good for 24 hours, so this can create a sense of urgency for people to enter the giveaway before the story's gone.
It's best to stay active on Snapchat in order to get the most out of these ideas. They will work much better if your followers already know and like you.
Hopefully these tactics help you generate more leads on Snapchat. If you have any other ideas, we'd love to hear them. Please comment below!
